Our humanitarian workers support communities to build strong, resilient healthcare systems – ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead. When crisis strikes, our staff deliver lifesaving care in some of the world’s most dangerous crisis zones, then stay on to help communities rebuild after the headlines fade.
In Gaza, our clinics and offices have been destroyed. We have tragically lost our colleague, Maysara Rayyes - an emergency doctor and medical supervisor. Violations of international humanitarian law mean healthcare workers are being denied the protection they deserve, and the dangers they face continue to grow.
But Gaza is not alone. Around the world, aid convoys are attacked, medical workers are killed, and health systems are pushed to breaking point. Still, our doctors, nurses and mental health teams show up - putting humanity first, without labels, to serve and to heal.
Their courage and care give people a reason to hope. Now, we want to give hope back to them.
Along with your message of support, please share what you are hopeful for in the future. Your words will remind our teams that they are not alone and inspire us to continue working toward a better world.
